LE REALI CASE DE’ MATTI DI AVERSA. IL COMPLESSO DI SANTA MARIA LA MADDALENA DA OSPEDALE PSICHIATRICO A CITTADELLA DELLA SALUTE
The area of the former Psychiatric Hospital of Santa Maria la Maddalena is part of the properties of the Local Health Authority of Caserta. Since its closure just over twenty years ago, the complex has experienced a state of abandonment and a rapid decline both in terms of material and identity. Today the Healthcare Company has undertaken a massive recovery and redevelopment action of the entire complex to rebuild its identity and return it to the community by benefiting from an initial regional loan of 10 million euros deriving from the funds of the former Art. 20 of Law 67/88, Project Manager Arch. Palmira Casella, and a second loan from the Ministry of Health of 20 million euros for which the publication of the implementing decrees is awaited.
